Milner Library
This project encompasses the reworking and redesign of the second floor of the Milner Library at Illinois State University. This second floor is the main entrance off the quad and houses the reference desk and other staff areas along with computer labs, group work areas, and reference stacks.
The design brief requires a new, more inclusive reference desk along with space for an academic support hub to house resources for students to access. Inclusivity and accessibility was at the forefront of the design brief and each space was designed to promote engagement between librarians and students.
To help inform the design, a research and literature review was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Kaitlin Bergfield. The findings are published under my blog here.
